Keyboard control

The basic functionality of the web interface can be controlled by using only your keyboard.

Key Function
0 .. 9 Jump to the device that has a marker that corresponds with the chosen number
- Zoom in one level
= or + Zoom out one level
up Move up one device in the grid
down Move down one device in the grid
page up Move to first device in the grid
page down Move to last device in the grid

Map control

You can navigate the map using the navigation icons.

Icon Function
north Pan map to the north
east Pan map to the east
south Pan map to the south
west Pan map to the west
zoom-in Zoom in one level
zoom-out Zoom out one level
zoom-all Zoom out to world view

Logging in

Before you can log in, you have to register for a free account first. You can use this account to store the current area you are viewing and you will be able to save devices to your favourites.

Find location

Using the find icon you can search the map using various methods described below.

Find by callsign

You can search by radio callsign using this option, if you type at least three characters, the search box will show you suggestions if there are any devices that match your input. Click on the desired call sign to show the whereabouts of the device and its details.

Find by address

You can use different types of address lookups in this interface. You can either specify a country, a city, or a combination of the two.

The following lookups are valid:

  • United Kingdom
  • Birmingham
  • Pikington Avenue, Birmingham

The following lookup as are invalid and will not work:

  • Birmingham, Pikington Avenue

There are also a few special keywords you can use in your search query, you can find them in the OpenStreetMap wiki.

Find by grid square locator

If you know the maidenhead grid square locator of the area you wish to view, you can enter it here directly. Hit find to jump to that location.
